What is letterpress, you ask? In short, Letterpress printing is a technique of relief printing using a printing press, a process by which many copies are produced by repeated direct impression of an inked, raised surface against sheets of paper.\u00a0 When the form (design \/ type) is set up on the chase, the letterpress presses paper against it to transfer the ink from the form which creates an impression or “bite” on the paper. The result is a keepsake piece with a great tactile feel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here at Two Crows Printing most of the jobs we get for Letterpress Printing are custom, our minimum charge for all custom work is $175.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Artwork \/ File Requirements.<\/strong> <\/span><\/h4>\n

Submitted files need to be 300dpi and file format .pdf .psd .ai .tiff and .jpg files<\/strong><\/p>\n

Color separations need to me made if you have more than one color.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any type \/ fonts must be outlined or flattened.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Plate Fees<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

This is a one time fee to have your design made into plates.\u00a0 These plates are used to print your custom design on the paper.\u00a0 Plate fee minimum is $55.\u00a0 These plates can be used for reprint jobs and we keep them filed for any future printing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shipping & Turn around<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u2022 All print orders are shipped USPS 2-3 day priority.\u00a0 If you need express shipping please state that in the check out notes when placing your order (there is a separate fee for express that you will be charged after your order).<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Once the order has been submitted and we receive your file, we will follow up within 24 hours to show you a digital mock up of what your letterpress design will look like.\u00a0 After approval and payment it will be 3-4 weeks for your order to be completed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Need us to put some pep in our step with your letterpress job?\u00a0 We can do that for a fee. Rush fee’s start at $125, and will take about a week total.<\/strong><\/p>\n
